refuge

And those, Ananda, who either now or after I am dead, Shall be a lamp unto themselves, Shall betake themselves as no external refuge, But holding fast to the truth as their lamp, Holding fast to the truth as their refuge, Shall not look for refuge to anyone else besides themselves, It is they who shall reach to the very topmost height; But they must be anxious to learn.

Tibetan Ritual Mirror

"The absolute manifests within the relative as and through your awareness of being.

This pure awareness is like a stargate portal able to take you to the beyond.

These are the two aspects of one same reality, formal and formless.

Your natural consciousness is the unqualified space of clarity
which like a mirror reflects the multiplicity of things before they are called things.

When labeling and clinging are engaged, you forget the mirror and strive in samsara.

When you remember and revel in the mirror-like nature of your bare awareness,
you see things as they are, illusory and empty of essence, thus resting in nirvana.

There's no other passage between samsara and nirvana
than this simple consciousness.

This is the instruction of all rishis and buddhas;
 shastras, upanishads, sutras and tantras.

The world is the same over the two sides of the mirror;
only: one with delusion, the other without,
one of fragmented entities, the other a whole.

Realize the light of your being that supports the world
and be free from the duality of subject/object
- oblivion into the plurality of things."

'Emptiness applies to things, not to ultimate truth.' ~ Clara Llum

Emptiness applies to things, not to ultimate truth. Truth is not “empty” but beyond qualification. Impure phenomena, maya, is the deluded clinging to things as if they exist on their own. Pure phenomena, suchness, is the recognition of the nonduality between relative & absolute truth, the recognition of form as emptiness/clarity. (tweets via @lux1008)
